- Tweeter failure. Every OEM coaxial Ranger has ever installed uses a tweeter. UV stiffens the dome, moisture corrodes the voice coil — typically failing within 3–5 seasons of regular tournament use.
- Crossover degradation. Passive crossover components corrode in the humid, sun-exposed boat environment. Signal degradation is gradual but inevitable.
- Surround failure. Foam surrounds crack and delaminate under UV exposure. Bass output drops, distortion increases.

What Size Speakers Does My Ranger Use?
