The Sundancer is Sea Ray's defining model — built for owners who use their boats seriously and expect them to perform. Cockpit speakers are 6.5" in the gunwale or cockpit sidewalls. Cabin speakers are the same size in the headliner or forward bulkhead. Pre-2000 Sundancers, particularly the 250 and 270, often used 6x9" oval speakers in the bow.

If your Sundancer is more than seven or eight years old and still running original Clarion or Fusion speakers, they've either already failed or are close to it. They were never going to go the distance. The Sundancer was built to last decades — the audio should match. The SLX is Sea Ray's premium sport boat. Owners who choose an SLX are buying the best version of the platform — the factory Fusion audio is the one thing that doesn't reflect that. All cockpit speaker positions are 6.5".

1990s-era Sundancers commonly used 6x9" oval speakers in the bow. These are difficult to replace because most modern aftermarket speakers only come in round sizes.
